Microbial crude protein (MCP)

Phát âm

Phiên âm: /maɪˈkrəʊbiəl kruːd ˈprəʊtiːn/

Từ loại: Noun

Nghĩa tiếng Việt:
Protein vi sinh vật

Nghĩa tiếng Anh:
MCP refers to a source of protein derived from the microbial population present in the rumen of ruminant animals like cattle, sheep, and goats. During the process of rumen fermentation, microbes break down and digest the feed that the animal consumes. As part of their life cycle, these microbes themselves contain proteins. When these microbes are digested in the abomasum and small intestine of the animal, their proteins become available as a source of dietary protein for the animal's nutrition.
